Alexa’s Premiere Single “LIKE A CHILD” is here!!!!!
Like a Child is a song about coming of age, life transitions and discovery beyond childhood. This modern pop ballad explores a variety of styles and sounds, supporting a truly unique and blissful female vocal filled with sweet, lofty tones and emotional power far beyond what we might expect from a 16 year old! Inspired by a 1970's style ballad, Like a Child is a modern take on a classic sound.

Happy Summer Solstice Everyone!!!! Enjoy the warmth and light!
So Blissed and Blessed to have played a small part in music recording for the new play “Th’Owxiya” by Kwantlen First Peoples’ playwright Joseph A. Dandurand. Such a beautiful experience to hear and feel his beautiful Spirit!
When Marguerite wrote ask if I could record Joseph on his hand drum and vocals, and add to that a classroom full of grade school kids singing background vocals, I couldn’t be more intrigued! What a treat!
Thank you Joseph and Marguerite! Can’t wait to see the play this weekend! And thank you Axis Theatre Company for presenting this work!
~ Mark Fenster presents a Mentor Session @ Nimbus School of Recording & Media ~ “How to be an Artist AND Businessperson at the same time!” Through his decades of work in the business world as well as the musical arts world, Mark has developed a unique perspective on how to bridge the two seemingly disparate, yet necessary, ways of living and working = Business and Artistry. There are many connectors and even more common attributes than one might begin to imagine - and most if not all of them are simple truths, to both the heart and the mind.
It’s a private presentation for Nimbus students, alumni, faculty and staff. Gratitude to Kristina and everyone at Nimbus!

~ The Other Side of Hatred
Having heard of my recent family journey to France, Sheryl MacKay reached out asking if I’d like to come in for another interview, this time about my own family story. I gratefully accepted, and you can listen to the interview on CBC NXNW (date tba).
~ Francis Xavier Edwards’ home grown CD “String Poetry” to be featured on CBC across the nation!
We just received a most heartily enthusiastic response from CBC Music that they love the new work and will be airing these tunes on several network programs across the country. We couldn’t be more proud and agree more heartily with their well-placed enthusiasm :)

~ A journey to the other side of hatred
(On a personal note …. March 20th from our Facebook page…) I’m in France with my beautiful wife and daughter visiting family who hid and saved my mother during the holocaust. Flowing through Paris, Bois le Roi, Lyon and Montpellier, we have found that the very same lovingkindness that saved my mom and so many others is still here in the children and grandchildren of these magical souls. I cannot describe the depth of love and joy that has been shared, however there are plans to do something in music to try to share these sentiments in the near future.... for many of my French family are amazingly talented musicians!!!!! More to tell on that soon. In the meantime, yesterday we visited the Maison d'Izieu where my mom and so many other children were cared for and saved by Sabine Zlatin and the Pallarès family. It was emotional, moving and so very loving. The director, knowing that the children of both my mom and the Pallarès family were here, took time on his day off to meet with us and show us around. We are deeply grateful. There is love and there is hope. And with this, I send once again my gratitude to you all. Love, light, peace and hope be with you always and all ways. Mark
(And today…) Home. Our flight landed last night ... we ourselves expect to land in a day or so .... bodies the same (sort of ;), souls expanded beyond our simple understanding, gratitude and peace beyond description....

~ Matthew Kocel’s beautiful new album “Grace” is now available!
Having preformed with Matthew several times, shared his mediation sessions and his sound journeys, producing his new CD was an immense Joy for me and all who played a part. The music is inspiring, beautiful, moving and healing in its truest sense. Please have a listen (and feel) to these wonderful musical verses, and enjoy the abounding love, peace and harmony.
